I am organizing a two-day residency at Dia:Beacon for my fellow students who are enrolled in the New Media MFA program at Transart Institute. It's scheduled for Sunday, February 28 and Monday, March 1, 2010, and 21 students have signed up. The artists are coming from New York, Los Angeles, Denver, Austin, Seattle, as well as Macedonia, Iceland, and Canada.
In the spirit of fostering creative interaction, I am hoping to arrange accommodations for the students hosted in Beacon homes. This could be a stimulating opportunity to interact with other artists and potentially get involved in projects emerging from the time spent at Dia.
If you live in Beacon, do you have the space and would you be willing to accommodate one or two artists for one or two nights on that weekend? Or, do you know somebody who would? Please pass on this request to friends and relatives.
